A: When browsing your server list in the Multiplayer Menu, ignore the fact that it says
"Incompatibel FML modded server. Server mod list is not compatible."
for a given SCP4 server. The reason for that message are the server-side missing client-side mods. Relevant entry from latest.log:
Client has mods that are missing on server: [ctm, jeresources, sf, clienttweaks, shutupexperimentalsettings, worldnamerandomizer, mousetweaks, durability101, preciseblockplacing, betteradvancements, oldjavawarning]
Connected Texture Mod, Just Enough Resources, Spawner Fix, Client Tweaks, Shut Up Experimental Settings, Worldname Randomizer, Mouse Tweaks, Durability 101, Precise Block Placing, Better Advancements and Old Java Warning are all client-side and do NOT need to be installed on the server. Hence the warning.
A: There are a couple of mods you can remove/disable from your installation of SCP4 as they are client-side only, as well as add some performance improving mods.
Deleting/Disabling any of the following mods may improve performance, but isn't guaranteed to.
Below are some mods which may or may not improve performance of your SCP4 and/or server installation.
A: When creating a world, you need to use the "Import Settings" function. For already existing worlds, you need to use a tool called NBTExplorer in order to change the biome source provider.
Here's a step-by-step guide to editing existing worlds or generating new ones in case you're not sure how to do either of the two options. The guide shows you how to edit an existing world as well as creating a new world with a template file.
If you are running a server, make sure to generate the world in SSP with the guide above and then copy it to your server, or use NBTExplorer to edit your server world according to the guide. Don't forget to rename the world folder to scp4
or change your server.properties
accordingly.
A: Since it's not a small modpack, insane shaders can pretty much kill your performance, unless you've got some sort of supercomputer. Personally, I highly recommend you use Chocapic13's High Performance Shaders. I am using the Toaster version of said shaders, as my graphics card is old as hell.
